The University of Wisconsin approached us with an active but outdated site that was facing performance and scaling challenges. To address these issues, we embarked on an ambitious endeavor to refactor the entire website’s codebase, liberating it from reliance on an outdated, proprietary website framework. By converting jQuery to vanilla JavaScript, we boosted performance and efficiency. Our custom plugins empowered site administrators to make announcements and manage content seamlessly. Additionally, we created a partner site for cancer research fundraising. The result? A high-performing website with an intuitive backend. This project showcases MBM’s commitment to excellence in web design and development.
